The wait is finished now as Android O is officially called Android Oreo and will be coming to your phone soon. Google has made an interesting announcement and officially launched its latest version Android Oreo on 21 August 2017 in the total solar eclipse over NYC.
Android 8.0 Oreo has a lot of key features which can improve the performance of Android devices in the fastest world of technology. It includes a picture in picture mode, battery optimization, improved booting speed and better security features against the malicious activities.
Google’s blog post says, “We’re pushing the sources to Android Open Source Project (AOSP) for everyone to access today. Android Beta users will receive the update to the final version today and images are available to download and flash manually.”
The users running Android O beta can download the files and flashed manually on Nexus and Pixel as they already got the final version of the software on 21 August 2017. Google said that Pixel, Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P have entered the testing carrier and will start rolling out within the next few weeks.
Google also said that it is working with Motorola, HMD Global, Huawei, Samsung, HTC, Kyocera. These all will be launching and upgrading to Android 8.0 Oreo soon. HMD Global is the first to roll out the Android Oreo which is already in their development mode. But for the other smart phones, the wait will be longer.
